Free guide · For families abroad

Help with the next
clinic call.

Helping a parent in Metro Manila? Get ready to ask their existing clinic for a time, move a visit, or follow up.

No signup. No personal details. Use it yourself or share it with your family.

This guide does not send a message or book a visit. The clinic must confirm the appointment. For urgent medical help, contact local emergency services, not GODDID.

Before you start

Permission. The right contact. A clear request.

  1. Ask your parent first. Agree on what help they want and what you may share. Paying for care does not give you permission to act for them.
  2. Use an official clinic channel. Find it on the clinic’s own website or a contact your parent already uses. Ask what permission the clinic needs. Do not pretend to be the patient.
  3. Keep private details private. These are scheduling messages. Share only what the clinic needs, through its accepted process. Do not post medical records, IDs or payment details in public messages.

Choose your task

A little preparation.
Less back-and-forth.

Open a task below. Copy or select its message, then replace the brackets in your own message app. Use it only after your parent agrees. Nothing is sent from this page.

Ask for an appointment

You know which clinic to contact. You need to agree on a time.

Before you contact the clinic

  1. Ask your parent if they want your help. Agree on who will speak with the clinic.
  2. Choose two times your parent can make. Use Philippine time when speaking with a clinic in Metro Manila.
  3. Use the clinic’s official booking link if it solves the task. Otherwise, ask how a family member can help.

What to check next

Keep the clinic’s answer. Check the date, time, location and arrival instructions with your parent. A sent message or an automatic reply is not a confirmed appointment.

A message you can use

Hello, I’m [your first name]. With my parent’s permission, I’m helping arrange a visit with [doctor or clinic].

Does your clinic accept scheduling requests from a family member? Please let me know the permission and booking steps.

We can make [first choice] or [second choice], in Philippine time. Is either available?

Please confirm the date, time, clinic location, and next steps before we treat the visit as booked. Thank you.

Replace the brackets in your own message app—not on this website.

Ask to move a visit

Your parent already has an appointment. The time no longer works.

Before you contact the clinic

  1. Check the original appointment with your parent. Ask which other times work.
  2. Ask the clinic about its change process and any fees. Do not assume a change is free.
  3. Ask for options first. Get your parent’s approval for the exact new time before asking the clinic to make the change.

What to check next

Do not cancel the original appointment just because you asked for another time. Follow the clinic’s change process. Check that it has confirmed the agreed replacement and told you what happened to the original booking.

A message you can use

Hello, I’m [your first name]. With my parent’s permission, I’m asking about moving their appointment on [original date and time].

Please do not change or cancel the original appointment yet. Are [first choice] or [second choice] available, in Philippine time?

Please explain your change process and any fees. We will agree on the exact new time before asking you to make the change.

Please tell us how you will confirm the replacement and the status of the original appointment. Thank you.

Follow up on a request

You asked for a time but have not received a clear answer.

Before you contact the clinic

  1. Check the clinic’s stated reply time and any message it already sent. If it gave no reply time, ask when to check back.
  2. Keep one family helper in charge so several people do not make the same request.
  3. Use the original message thread or booking reference where possible. Check for an existing request before sending a new one.

What to check next

No reply means the request is still unresolved. It does not mean a time is reserved. Tell your parent what the clinic actually said, including if it has no available time.

A message you can use

Hello, I’m following up on our appointment request sent on [date], through [channel]. Our reference is [reference, if one was provided].

Could you check whether that request is in your system before we send another one?

Has a time been confirmed, is the request still waiting, or is there no availability? If it is still waiting, when should we check back?

Please confirm any agreed date, time and location. Thank you.

The service we’re building

Would you rather have help with the calls?

GODDID is building an appointment assistant for families abroad. With a parent’s permission, the service would handle the scheduling work through their existing clinics.

It is not live yet. The free guide above is ready to use; the service walkthrough uses made-up people and sends no requests.
